Like many industries, the German packaging machinery industry is facing a wide range of challenges in order to remain competitive in the dynamically digitizing world. The topics of sustainability and digitalization require a good strategy and qualified personnel.
With the Packaging Valley Makeathon, which is already taking place for the 4th time, the packaging cluster Packaging Valley Germany e.V. supports its members in the innovative training of potential specialists and enables a new kind of recruiting. From November 21 to 22, 2023, Packaging Valley, in cooperation with ITQ, Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart, and the Rems-Murr-Kreis, invites young students, start-ups and specialists from companies to jointly develop innovative ideas and tinker with initial prototypes.
A total of four companies from the region will present participants with so-called Industry Challenges, which are based on the topics of sustainability and digitalization:
- Rotzinger Pharmapack, Waiblingen: “Use of generative AI for pharmaceutical qualification”
- Zebra Engineering, Heilbronn: “IOT platform development and evaluation with AI”
- Syntegon Technology, Crailsheim: “Filling machines for personalized medicine 2030”
- Optima packaging group, Schwäbisch Hall: “Construction and packaging design of child safety devices” and “Recognition and sorting of objects in pharmaceutical filling lines”
Within the limited time of 2 days, the students have the chance to tinker, develop and incidentally make first contacts in the industry.
Registration is free of charge until November 20th at Eventbrite.
We look forward to another successful Packaging Valley Makeathon!
