For the first time, ITQ GmbH will be represented with a Google Demonstrator from May 30th to June 2nd, 2022 at the Hannover Messe Trade Fair at the Google Cloud booth. Google is showing the principle of its Google Cloud at the trade fair. It offers the manufacturing industry the optimization of processes and productivity with the help of AI-based solutions. At the same time, emphasis is placed on diversity and sustainability.
In order to be able to better illustrate the principle of the Google Cloud to visitors, ITQ GmbH and SOTEC have developed a trade fair demonstrator. Within five months a total of six junior engineers from ITQ, together with colleagues from SOTEC, built the demonstrator for Google. It illustrates how manufacturing engineers can efficiently use all data of intelligent manufacturing with Google Cloud technologies. The engineers built the demonstrator based on the Learning Factory 4.0 from fischertechnik and a Sawyer cobot from Rethink Robotics. It impressively presents the use cases Analytics & Insights, Visual Inspection, Predictive Maintenance, Anomaly Detection and Traceability of intelligent production.
Impressions of the Trade Fair
And this is how it works: At the beginning of the demo, the visitor feeds in a chip that has been customized with a colored pencil. The workpiece is checked via Visual Inspection and taken to the warehouse. The outsourcing takes place at the push of a button. Meanwhile, Predictive Maintenance and Anomaly Detection use cases are presented. At the end, the cobot hands over the individualized chip to the visitor again. Central process data of the chip are presented on an output overview. After scanning a QR code, the individual process data of the chip from the Google Cloud are available directly on the smartphone or tablet.
At this point we would like to thank our project partners Google Cloud, SOTEC, Rethink Robotics, insglück, intel and fischertechnik for the successful cooperation!
